Mr. Alex Vicini

Alex Vicini is the Italian-born Chief Executive Officer of SoftBuilders Software Design LLC, one of Dubai's fastest-growing information technology companies. Under his leadership, SoftBuilders has evolved into a trusted technology partner for enterprises, startups, and government-linked organisations across the UAE, the wider GCC, and international markets.

With more than two decades of experience spanning design, software engineering, product strategy, and business leadership, Alex began his career as a Senior Designer in Milan, where he spent over a decade leading interface, product, and brand design programmes for European agencies and technology companies before moving into engineering leadership.

That design foundation continues to shape SoftBuilders today. Alex champions a design-led engineering culture — combining deep technical expertise with a customer-first mindset to ensure that every engagement delivers measurable business outcomes, not just deliverables. He has guided the company's adoption of modern architectures, cloud-native development, and AI-driven workflows, and works closely with SoftBuilders' leadership team to mentor engineers, scale delivery practices, and build long-term partnerships with clients in banking, real estate, retail, healthcare, logistics, and education.

Beyond day-to-day operations, Alex is known for his hands-on involvement in strategic client programmes, from initial discovery through to production rollout. His leadership style emphasises transparency, rapid iteration, and a deep commitment to solving real business problems with technology. Outside of work, Alex is a dedicated tennis player and draws strong parallels between the sport and his approach to business — discipline, footwork, reading the opponent, and showing up every day.
